A Spring Cleaning Plan
Spring cleaning can feel like a daunting task, but with a little planning and preparation, it can be a great way to freshen up your home and start the season off on the right foot. Here are some spring cleaning tips to get you started:
- Start with a plan: Make a list of all the tasks you want to accomplish and prioritize them by importance. This will help you stay organized and focused as you work through your cleaning tasks.
- Declutter first: This is my favorite part of the process. Before you start cleaning, take some time to declutter your home. Go through each room and get rid of any items that you no longer need or want. This will make it easier to clean and will help create a more organized space.
- Work from top to bottom: When cleaning each room, start at the top and work your way down. This will help you avoid having to clean the same areas twice and will prevent dust and dirt from falling on areas that you've already cleaned.
- Use natural cleaning products whenever possible: Consider using natural cleaning products, such as vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice, instead of harsh chemicals. If you want something a little more commercial with a better scent I highly recommend the Blueland Cleaning products, you can find them linked to in our Amazon Storefront. Not only are they better for the environment, but they can also be just as effective at cleaning.
- Don't forget the little things: While it's important to clean the obvious areas, such as floors and surfaces, don't forget the little things, such as light fixtures, switch plates, and baseboards. These areas can often be overlooked, but cleaning them can make a big difference in the overall look and feel of your home.
- Enlist help if needed: Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Consider enlisting the help of family members or friends to make the task of spring cleaning more manageable and fun.
- Finish with a Spring bouquet: A fresh bouquet of tulips, apple blossoms or daffodils placed on the table or the kitchen island are the perfect accessory to add to your freshly cleaned house. Nothing says job well done better than a fresh bouquet.
